These are my last years artworks sold at auction at the venerable racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky. It’s cold outside, a bit of sleet has already hit our windows at the back of our house. My work was delivered to Cross Gate Gallery back in July. I’ve gone on to other works forgetting pretty much that the auction is nearing again this time of the year. Anticipation creeps back into my senses this art making I do everyday isn’t about selling but creating. The selling is for the experts who sell fabulously expensive live horses who may, in their future, grace the racetrack with their beauty. I can only hope to create something when I experience a moment with an animal. A marvelous mixture this is clay to metal while I visualize an artwork with my hands. Welcome November, it’s a beautiful place.
