Here we go again. A minor adjustment in the scheme of things when making a statue. This morning a fresh eye saw an issue with the horses neck. So, it’s off with the neck. Meaning, I’ll take a sharp implement and cut through the attachment of the neck to the shoulder. This will give me the ability to stretch her neck a bit. Although I’ve measured the length from her wither to her dock of her tail, and when I’ve flipped the tape it equals the distance from the wither to her poll it’s about the same, but not quite. So 1/8 to a 1/4 inch will make all the difference in the world. The models neck just doesn’t have a feeling of suppleness, something it needs if it’s moving at a rather slow canter, hobby horse like, even and no bounce, easy for people to do aerial acrobatics above her back.
