Two Dogs, One Ball and a Fish

Saturday I went to meet a subject for a bronze.  But once we were taking pictures and observing the behavior of the number one subject, the owner felt that the second best dog deserved to be portrayed in bronze too. We decided on both of them, on separate bases so they could be exhibited on the fireplace mantel, or the center of a table facing each other or alongside each other. I thought it was a novel idea and an excellent solution to number one and number two getting equal treatment.  Number one loves his slobbery tennis ball; second best loves his most recent catch, a bluegill fish.  This will be a fun commission.
